First let me start by saying CMM-Manager has WAY better service. Anytime I had a problem with PC-DMIS the help desk response was “that’s a bug don’t use it.” CMM-Manager actually helps you, machine problem or program problem they actually help you, and if there is a bug they actively work to resolve it. In the 5 years I have been away from DMIS almost nothing has changed; no bugs have got better and it’s still randomly corrupting my *programs*. Also, CMM-Manager auto generates probe paths, even with star probes. You rarely ever need a move point. You save a ton of time not having to think about avoidance moves or active clearance planes. I had a hard time getting used to CMM Manager. It’s a lot more graphically based, and it’s much stricter about GD&T and alignments. If I had to choose, I’d choose CMM manager.
Service Engineer
I started re-writing some of the programs I use for calibrating machines using CMM-M. I am quite happy with how it is progressing although I have a long way to go. One cool thing I came up with is to have all the inputs in a single dialog that blends in nicely with the rest of the software. The impression I am getting is that you can switch in and out of VB seamlessly so putting all the high-level stuff on that side of it makes more sense then trying to put it inside the program. It is different paradigm. If it works the way I believe it does I can’t think of too many things you couldn’t do in CMM-M that you could do in something like PC-DMIS.

My experience has been very good with CMM Manager support from QxSoft. I want to thank the CMM-Manager Helpdesk Team. Two Different Companies
I am an avid user of CMM Manager. I have actually purchased it for 2 different companies I have worked for. I talked to you guys a lot when I worked in Aerospace. Even sent a former colleague to your facility in Ohio for training several years ago.
