Re: Goto deprecated in 3.8

I am using a "Do Until" in the attached Program (V 3.10) so I can skip parts that aren't loaded in a batch fixture. Dim NP Dim SN 'NP = InputBox("Please enter the number of Parts Loaded") SN = 0 NP = 4 'MsgBox NP Do Until SN = NP If SN = NP Then Exit Do End If Then a part followed by: SN=SN+1 If SN ...

Re: Move Part

Agreed. It certainly does not work for everyone. In my case, the important thing was that the part flipped 180° around the 'Y' axis in the middle of the program. They had fixturing that would hold a good relative position from one side to the other, and all I needed was enough to go directly into DC...

Re: Move Part

I had a lot of success with the move part command lately by translating and rotating my ref frame rather than building a feature based reference frame. If you know roughly where the part will be after the move, this process makes it really easy. Write the first half of the program just as you would....

Re: Set Report Header Image or Text

There is a sample image in C:\ProgramData\Nikon\CMM-Manager 3.9 SP2\Resource (replace "3.9 SP2" with your version). That is the optimal image width and your image should have same width.

Re: DISTANCE BETWEEN

If you ever want to query a CAD model from the CAD coordinate system, you can do so by going to the Display ribbon tab, selecting View CAD Feature (select 2D, 3D, or Point), then click on the CAD entity. It takes the part coordinate system out of the equation.

Re: Is there a Standard form err for probe qualification?

.5mm is more than a bit excessive. In most cases, this is caused by a loose stylus. can you confirm that the stylus and all components above are tightened? If all of your probes are showing a lot of form error in calibration, then there is something else amiss. Is this a new install? When did the is...

Re: Probe length with accuracy

What is the diameter of the holes? If they are 20mm or bigger, I would suggest getting an EM2 and a 18mm hemispherical probe.

Re: Path planning extra moves.

Generally speaking, when a path must interfere with the avoidance zone (the margin at which the model of the machine tries to avoid the model of the part) to execute a path, that is where you will see unnecessary moves. One thing to remember regarding preferences and path planning is that once a pat...

Re: Machine Axis Changed with Windows 10 Upgrade

Not at all. Any seat of CMM-Manager in any version can be set up to meet your machine axis structure. Did you have to reinstall CMM-Manager or did you format the drive? If you are making changes to the software and it is not keeping the changes, try running it as administrator. If that works, you wi...
