Re: Reporting Surface Profile using Cloud to Cad Best Fit

If you are asking what is it that you should write on your report... 1. For me, I prefer to write down the "Dev" value times 2 (in this case .114). I have met other people that perceive that answer to be max deviation - min deviation. 2. Either way, ASME Y14.5 doesn't specify how the results should...

Re: Tip Calibration

We have a PH10 to a TP20 using standard force module with an extension of 10mm to a 2mm ball stylus which gives overall length at 177 for Probe assembly 0....for the second one its all the same but no extension and is a 3mm ball stylus with overall length of 167.

Tip Calibration

Currently having some issues when calibrating tips, we have two probe assemblies for various parts. When calibrating the tips we get outcomes bigger then what the ball size is...for instance A0B0 comes out with a result of 2.019. This happens to all tips for 2mm ball and then for our 3mm ball we get...

Re: Reporting Surface Profile using Cloud to Cad Best Fit

Hey guys, So I am kinda dealing with this right now with a customer. We have a profile call out of .08 with no relation to a datum or anything. Just straight measuring anwhere between point A (23mm from center) to point B (31mm from center). Currently doing 15 points using cloud to CAD deviation. Wh...

Probe Calibration

Currently using a 2x30 stylus for all programs.....it seems that any program that I attempt to write that has a tip other then A0B0 crashes and even when I try to re-calibrate the ref. tip along with the other ones, besides A0B0 they will either hit the stem part of stylus or the path is all messed ...

Max Inscribed Algorithm

Hey everyone, just a quick question...on a circle measurement ranging from .5mm all the way to 29mm using this algorithm why would it say that the circularity is to big but diameter is still good?

Re: Calibrate New Assembly/Tip

Alright guys, so I figured out this issue and everything, but when I want to go make the program with this assembly 1....I do the CAD alignment and then when I want to go make my first circle and measure it, it will ask if its an inner or outer....I click inner and then it reports out being like 800...

Re: Calibrate New Assembly/Tip

Once the ref tip is calibrated, you can actually select the calibrate all and can even to all tips all assemblies. It will use DCC motion to calibrate everything you have and will prompt you to change assemblies when it calibrates all of the tips in the last one. If you have more questions regardin...
