Re: Reporting Length and Width Position of a slot.

Hi Racinslack,

Can you point to datum A? Assuming datum A is a plane, there are 2 possible outcomes here (Table 4-4, Y14.5.1M 1994, Case 3.13 or Case 3.14).

Re: different forces of TP20 modules- when to use which one?

What frustrates me sometimes about Renisahaw is how information relating to their equipment is often very diffused... Extended force modules are a no-no with PH20. I thought that at some point UCC Server even made it impossible to add it as a component with PH20. Page 17 of the PH20 installation and...

Re: Automation - Robot Compatability

We have a customer using CMM Manager with the Nikon supplied Digital IO box in an automated cell right now using a robotic arm for loading/unloading. The CMM Manager team was very helpful (as always) and Nate was on-site to make things go smoothly. This system works great and from an end-users' pers...

Re: UCC Server and CMM Manager

Were you ever able to measure any know lengths as CMM Guru suggested? If there is a .001" error on all diameters but not on linear measurements that might be important. Another thought... It's a bit of a long shot because of the scale but the description of the problem sound like tip correction erro...

Re: UCC Server and CMM Manager

It could be that the post-head-calibration procedure wasn't done correctly. The right way to do things... 1. Open and run the head calibration routine in UCC Assist and then close UCC Assist. 2. Open UCC Server and "Clear Calibration" for all tools (including RefTool). 3. Calibrate RefTool 4. Calibr...

Re: UCC Server and CMM Manager

Make sure that your calibration sphere diameter is input correctly in UCC Server too!

Re: Obtain and measure feature from variable

There are posts on this topic already if you search for "parametric" programming. The first one that pops up for me is a great example: https://www.cmmmanager.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&p=5105&hilit=parametric The only thing you would need to do differently is to assign the variables not with: Var...

Re: Mirror CAD colors

I hope Nate has something better than this but I usually change my color scheme from **dark grey/magenta** to **dark grey/white**.

Then the "opposite" surfaces look different but not too offensive.

Re: Reporting Surface Profile using Cloud to Cad Best Fit

I think that would only be the case if it was a unilateral tolerance zone but in most cases I've seen: 1. The profile requirement is specified as a total width tolerance and no U symbol. 2. The CAD model is modeled at nominal (not min or max size). 3. And (like you said earlier) as CMM Mgr users we ...

Re: Trying to get the manual CAD aligment to work

It's been a while since I tested this so I'm not 100% certain, but I think this is what you need to turn on.
